I am a new substitute teacher, hired in Nov 2021. In December 2021 I worked for about a week at a school. I want to receive checks in the mail, not direct deposit. I have yet to be paid. I called in January and they see that I accepted shifts to work, but they said that no hours have been logged in. They said to wait it out BC it might be too early for the checks to come in.
It’s April now. It’s tax season. Shouldn’t I have received the checks by now? I’m really pissed BC I’m a college student and I don’t normally work, and this was a little bit of income to pay off my credit cards. I have tried calling them since January and no one picks up I have been on hold for hours to the point where I have to hang up to go to class etc bc I can’t be waiting for hours on the phone.
I tried contacting the school multiple times and nothing. I haven’t worked since then Bc I haven’t been paid. Is there anything I can do to report this or get paid? Thanks
I don’t think the checks were lost in the mail, bc I don’t think the school ever put in my hours, when I called last time the lady mentioned that too. I never signed in to school or anything. They gave me a schedule for the day, but that’s it.
