Verbally accepted offer - now what?
Post Body

I know I've seen people ask this question before, but at the time, I was happily working at a charter school that has quickly turned out to be a total nightmare.

Today I got a verbal offer from a vice-principal at a DOE school (yay!) and gave her my SSN and birthdate. I know this commits me to accepting the job, but...does it also commit her to giving me the job? And is there anything to do but wait for an email from the DOE telling me what to do next?

I've interviewed for other DOE jobs - at this point, if I got an offer, would I have to turn it down? And should I go ahead and give notice at my current school? The whole process is so confusing!
