Hi, I recently signed up and got approved to be a sub in Feb 2024 and managed to work for a couple of weeks before I had to travel out of the state due to a family emergency. Due to this, I could not complete the minimum 20 days of work that is required to continue subbing the next year.
I spoke to the DOE about this and they mentioned I will be terminated and then have to reapply to be a sub when applications open again in late august / September. Now, do you think it would be wise / make any difference in my application if I voluntarily resigned before being terminated? or is it better to be terminated by the DOE and then reapply?
will it affect my records and other applications I make within education? Since I will have to ask for nominations from principals, will this affect my application? please help!
