It seems anywhere I try to discuss nxt I get called some sort of sock puppet and am met with all sorts of criticisms that pos is broken. They saying the "nothing at stake" problem could easily allow for the network to be hacked and that this is normally solved by using centralized checkpoints.
Am I right in saying that nxt no longer uses checkpointing and if so, how does it solve this problem and what makes it so much different then other pos coins? What can I tell these people to help them more easily understand the value of nxt?
Edit: Good timing and interesting post from Vitalik today: https://blog.ethereum.org/2014/07/05/stake/ Thoughts on this?
