I had to have some imaging done of my brain because of frequent and sometimes severe headaches. In the process, the doctor interpreting the images noted that my parietal lobes appeared more atrophied than was normal for my age. The neurologist I was working with said that this very likely had to do with NVLD. Beyond that, because she specialized in headache treatment, she couldn't offer much insight. She was not concerned for my brain health in the sense that I might be developing early onset dementia or something like that. My NVLD has been deemed "mild." Nevertheless, it nags at me in the back of my mind that I know my brain has this perceptible anomaly but I don't know exactly why or what the implications are. If I went out of my way, I could probably find a doctor who was able to shed more light, but I haven't had time. If you feel comfortable sharing, has anyone else had brain imaging? What did you take away from the experience? Thanks.
