All right, anyone here who knows their shit knows how good a player he is. When he left, Newcastle had no true replacement and as such we struggled badly. He produced moments of magic for us and helped make a few years under Ashley and Pardew bearable.

However he knew that he wasn't going to be here long, he knew he was better than us. So when he saw his opportunity he grabbed it ruthlessly. Remember he refused to play in order to force his way out. He wasn't even prepared to see out the season (although he obviously can't be blamed for his lack of replacement.)

He had a bad year and a half at PSG and now he is back, but for another team. Yes this is hard to take but we need to move on and focus on our own team and players.

Seeing some comments here and on /r/soccer is frankly embarrassing and kind of pathetic.

Those Newcastle fans need to get their heads out of their arses an focus on who we do have.

Sissoko, Cabella, Wijnaldum, and De Jong.

These are young players who all have talent and potential to be better than Cabaye both this season and in the future.

Let's look forward as a sub-reddit, not backwards. Otherwise I see myself unsubbing very soon into this season. I like /r/nufc, let's make sure that doesn't happen.
