Lately I've gotten closer to finding that special someone on the side, but still no cigar. Perhaps it's a season of change and growth in most, but the minute someone appears in my chat it's like something cosmic happens (not in a good way). Life takes a turn, attraction fizzles out, she gets cold feet--I don't know what it is exactly, but the fun seems to evaporate quickly lately and something doesn't work out. Because if getting to know and meet and sleep with someone new isn't exhilarating, fun, fulfilling in the ways we need (that we're not getting at home), then what's the point of doing what we do? That IS the point!
And that's what I'm still pursuing. That secret lover with whom we can share our lives' ups and downs, get to know fully, make time for when no one makes time for us anymore, and eventually meet up and hang out with. Good morning and goodnight texts (why is one 1 word and the other 2 words?), the thrill of attraction, making clandestine plans for exciting rendezvous, knowing that you finally have someone in your corner who understands--that's what I bring to the table. The weekend is almost here now in Texas, so let's start it off right! I can't wait to see what the cosmos will place in our paths.
