I want to preface that I’m literally a huge fan of both groups and this ain’t meant to disrespect the BSB. BSB are incredibly talented guys that deserved the success they attained but I like that this video more or less helps kill the notion that there was some big gap between BSB and NSYNC’s talent like some people like to believe. I’m gonna be honest while I think BSB’s music has aged better, I would definitely say in their prime that NSYNC were stronger harmonizers (since they were an actual five part harmony unlike BSB who had 4 tenors and a baritone which caused inconsistent harmonizations at times for certain songs), more consistent with their live vocals and were by far better dancers. I feel like the reasons people use to justify their reasoning for thinking NSYNC was inferior just aren’t really valid. Saying things like BSB sold better doesn’t really matter considering they have more material released and had actually focused on marketing themselves intensely outside of North America (plus BSB were the first of the new wave of American boybands that came in the late 90’s so they were bound to get the most attention) or that the line distribution in BSB is more equal which makes them better (which as a BSB fan I can say isn’t 100% true - Howie only had one verse on the entirety of their original debut album - is that fair? Frankly it didn’t start getting better until post Never Gone era). Honestly I love both groups but I’m definitely tired of baseless reasons people use to say BSB is better than NSYNC when if you do actual research and look at all of NSYNC’s. discography, interviews, live performances, old demons debunks that notion. I’m just tired of the NSYNC slander goddamn😭 I’m just sharing this video to show that NSYNC were just as good (if not a stronger group of artists in some ways) compared to the BSB. But what do y’all think?
