Just wanting to put the feelers out as having a difficult time. I'm single and over 30 in Tamworth NSW. Would love to get back out there, maybe make some male friends and definitely try to meet some women for both friendship and something more. But it feels almost impossible in this town to actually meet women without looking weird for trying to be friendly on approach or over commiting on dating apps.

I would love to hear from anyone who is over 30 with tips on meeting people here in town. When I was young, seemed simple to "pick up at the bar" and see where things went. But now a marriage down and wanting to have some fun with adult life, it feels difficult to make these connections. Or am I wrong? Just seems like wanting a bit of discreet respectful fun is impossible once responsibility hits the table.

Will add I've tried the apps with some success, but I also feel there is definitely something holding up the connection between people in there. That or I've got bets on myself I shouldn't have (I'm not vain, but also think I'm a reasonable looking bloke).

Also guys, where do you get to hang out here if not a cowboy? I grew up coastal but will be staying for my kid as I adore being a dad, but I just wanna hang with guys who aren't older than 50 who actually aren't keen on farming life. Anyways hope I'm not an anomaly in this situation.
