What do you think about found art? I ain’t no Duchamp signing a urinal here, I’m just a smut art loving guy using 2000’s era Hustler Magazines as inspiration.
When I stumbled across these letter openers I knew exactly what needed to be placed inside the window: 1-800 number ads from the back of my favorite resource material. It turns out that many of the ads fit the tiny space perfectly.
What I find is that when the 2” x 3/4” ads are in the magazine they are competing heavily and nearly blend together. When they are extracted and singled out they become wonderful little snap shots of the smutty hotline era.
