CJ was very good in the first play-in game against the Spurs.

In the six games since then, his shooting has been… not good:

9/24 9/25 7/18 11/23 8/21 7/22

Total: 51/133

That’s about 38 percent from the floor.

He’s also 17/27 (63 percent) during that stretch from the line.

CJ certainly doesn’t add a ton of value defensively; his value comes from his offense, so if his offense is bad… there’s not much value.

This isn’t a case of “scouting the box score”. Anyone that has watched this series knows just how bad CJ has been.

It is very frustrating because it feels like this series is so winnable and in fact we might be winning if CJ just played “okay” instead of “terribly”.

Anyway… Please be better, CJ!
