Well, just when they cant get any worse.....I boarded bus to nyc this evening using my bus pass. The driver made everyone scan it, so while I scanned my paper bus pass and waited the 10 seconds for it to be acknowledged, the reader also charged my Debit Card underneath. Not sure what I can do about it. I asked driver and he told me to notify NJT by phone and they will refund me. But, now I am thinking back and wondering how will I prove this?? I have no receipt and last thing I want to do is give my Debit Card number to some rep over the phone (even if they did believe me). Is it possible charge will drop anyway since it scanned my pass at same time? Damn I HATE THOSE READERS!! Do I have a chance of bank reimbursing my debit/checking account out of good faith? This is why tap to pay is so bad....no way to prove it was a mistake tap!
