Hoping someone here can advise. I assume this isn't cause for concern, but you know how it is...
I got low risk results back from a Harmony test taken at 9w5d (yes, I know, very early!) with a fetal fraction of 4.9%. Result was inconclusive for gender. Fair enough. I've read that sometimes it's possible to get chromosomal results but not gender results on early tests because the Y chromosome is a lot smaller than whatever they're looking for with the trisomies.
I had a redraw at 13w2d for gender...which has come back with a request for a redraw as "the sample did not meet the threshold for quality control".
Is this cause for concern? I mean...I've already had low risk results for the trisomies, but could it indicate that something else is amiss?
General info: I'm obese (BMI of 34), but obviously they were able to get chromosomal results from the first draw, and I can't imagine there would be a lower fetal fraction at a significantly later gestation. I can't think of any other obvious factors that would make the test anything other than totally routine. Rh neg blood type?
