NFT Game Design Questions - Basics First

Post Body

Hey! I have been so inspired by many of the blockchain game's communities and success, that I want to bring an idea for a cardgame/boardgame that I have had for years, to life in the NFT space as a p2e game.

My main problem? I have zero experience in blockchain development, or game development, and have even less idea how to bring the two things together into one cohesive entity.

Obviously, I am most likely going to have to try and partner with, or hire out, a game developer or studio, and a blockchain developer. But I need to understand more about how the two things come together. Does the game developer need to know anything about blockchain? Does the blockchain dev need to know anything about game dev? Or could the game dev easily integrate the work of the blockchain dev and the resulting nfts/smart contracts/token economy into the game design?

How many people are in a "team" for a project like this, and what other positions/knowledge bases do I need to bring onboard?

Any and all information or experience would be very much appreciated, as I am very determined to bring this game to life.

Thanks in advance!
