I have yet another idea for a franchise. I picked the Bills, traded a few players and my first rounder to rack up 2nd round picks, i believe i had three from my own trading and the pc traded up again. I picked brandon flowers at 32, then Calais Campbell, ray rice, Pat sims, and Dre Moore. Great first day, in my opinion. Ended up with steve johnson, athya rubin, mike peterson (i play him and Vernon Davis at WR), Tony Bake and eric baker (Shift them to MLB) and Hank Smithers. I'm trying out a playbook I'm calling Pscyho, as I'm utilizing more 1-5-5 prowl and 5 DB plays, get more talent on the field at the lb positions, and a few 4-4 plays to put my DT's to use. It's overkill with the amount of DT's i drafted, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the D plays. I traded for Fitzpatrick, primarily because I'm curious if i can raise his overall if he plays well. In field general his potential is 81, and i've seen it work with other players who play over their listed overall (mostly linemen and a few wrs.). Anywho, I'm just posting because i'm curious if anyone else has gone a similar route and what you had happen. I know i'll be gashed here and there by the run game, but i'm hoping to minimize that threat with a solid LB core.
