Post Body

Hey guys, I have a disabled sister; wheelchair bound. My mother always tells me how much company’s charge for simple repairs on my sisters chair. Example tightening and readjusting components. $350 for travelling 90km to loosen a bolt and move something. Is this an NDIS tax? Seems stupidly high. I am a fitter machinist by trade, and I am keen to give back to the community and not charge an arm and a leg for simple repairs. I have the tooling and skill to make these parts that seem to be imported or made in an stupidly expensive manner. Literally cents on the dollar. I have a full time job and would be an after hours thing, but I’m keen to help people. I’m really not sure with the insurances and younger people. Is it as simple as an abn, insurance and contacting case managers?

Any advice welcome. Cheers
