This occurred around 7:15-7:45 tonight in Clark. You were sitting at the first table near the soda machines, facing the salad bar. The look on your face made my heart ache. I don't know what was wrong but I can empathize with what you were feeling. I know that look and I don't know if you will see this or if it will help, but I want you to know that whatever is wrong will get better.
The whole way home all I could think about was how much I regretted not sitting down and asking you how you were. I felt the sadness pouring off of you. I witnessed the suicide on campus this semester and I just kept thinking what if someone would have stopped him and said "hey man, you look upset, is everything ok?"
If you see this, I want you to know people out there care about you. Hell, I don't even know you but I want to help you! I know finals are coming up, everyone is going to get stressed, but there is nothing in life that is worth ending this beautiful experience. This goes to anyone out there who might be feeling depressed, lost, or alone, you can reach out. People will listen if you just ask for help.
I'm so sorry I didn't sit down with you. If any of you see someone who is visibly distraught, don't wait. Just act. The worse they can do is tell you to leave them alone. You might just save someones life.
