For context, I played many EA sports games up until about 2017 or so, when I stopped supporting them because ultimate team makes my skin crawl. I hopped in for madden 21 and haven't played one since, but I know all the longstanding issues way to well.
Like any sports fan and gamer, I was too excited for CFB 25 to say no. But after this month playing the game and especially this first update, it's clear to me this coding needs to be taken out back behind the shed and put out of it's misery. Would you believe me if I told you the EA football coding has been running on the same foundation for over a decade? They had issues with it even before they moved to the frostbite engine and when they had to port it all over, it just made things worse. Why do you think every time they try to update it they break somwthing new?
They've spent the last however many years since trying to catch up, but with the amount of time and resources they are forced to put into ultimate team and adding "new features" all they can do is try to fix what's reported and hope for the best. It's been time and i know it won't happen unless people stop buying in masse, but I want to bring more attention to the fact that imo, none of these glitch problems or broken on the field issues will ever truly be solved unless EA give the devs a year or more off to rebuild most of this game.
