How does offer work in D3?

I’m being recruited to the USMMA and I feel like they really want me there, I went to their open house, been talking to their coaches for a couple of months and i might be going up to one of their games. I do wonder since you can’t get scholarships at the d3 level how would they “offer” you. Would the coach be like “we would like to offer you to play here and we would love to come see you play for us.” I guess I’m trying to say like how some schools will call you and say “we would like to offer you a scholarship and for you to come play for us” how does it work at the d3 level
