Kawhi, yes? Thought of this recently with the story about Wembanyama and the Drake concert. What a great guy I thought, still do, and it isn't just that, it's what he's said and done pretty much all season right?
Now, I'm not saying this is going down the same way because that would be pretty awful luck but I think a lot of us, certainly me, thought the same of Kawhi. Here's a guy in the Spurs mold, head down, be quietly brilliant and don't worry about the noise. Then Zaza happened and everything changed.
I'll repeat, I don't think Wembanyama goes the same way but... Do we ever really know?
