I try not to, but currently I am either watching every game or reading the recap to understand how it went - looking at every box score with my eyes inevitably drifting to Victor's line.
That said, I'm telling myself not to live and die on every game because this is so clearly a long term project.
My friends say, "why aren't the Spurs feeding it to him on every possession?", My response is always, "chill, we have years with this guy", hopefully, and I believe it. He's already dominating some games (not all, and that's ok), in his first handful of games in this league, at age 19. He's doing it in a very young and inexperienced team.
It's a beautiful and exciting thing, I genuinely don't care about the record, I don't care about the tournament, just praying this guy stays healthy, grateful we have him and grateful we have a team that will focus on his long term development.
...thanks for reading my inner thoughts.
