What did they change/fix from last year?

I downloaded the free trial on Xbox One and this literally feels like the same game from last year. I'm dealing with the same exact issues and outside of a few animations, I don't see a difference. What are your positives from this year's game?
In my personal opinion, they need to do some tinkering with the engine if they actually want to make any ACTUAL changes and improve (I don't think they actually care).
