Every single year 2k gets the same complaints from the same people who ultimately end up buying the game every year. What issues do you have with 2k and do you think they'll fix it next year?
My personal issues are:
Input lag: Impacts gameplay more than anything. Is the reason for a massive amount of the cheese that occurs.
Passing: There needs to be more passing animations to account for different situations. I'm tired of passing the ball to the defender directly in front of me instead of my teammate behind him. We need animations that get the ball around the defender. Also, I'm tired of players bounce passing the ball when I don't want a bounce pass. Passing in 2k15 is really bad.
Animations in general: Madden players. Imagine if when a QB threw a deep pass, you got stuck in an animation that got you 'Forced Mossed'. For anyone who doesn't know, to be Mossed is to have a reciever catch the football overtop of a defender. This is what I think of every time I get sucked into an animation. 2k still hasn't learned from the spin dunk days, have they? I hate it when I feel like I don't have a say in what my players do. Yesterday I raged out when I got stuck in a play that I called 'on rails'. I didn't have a choice on how I wanted to defend the play, I just had to lay back and take it.
Severe Lack of rewards: In Madden, you can get upward towards 2000 coins for completing a game (twice that on double coin weekends). Packs cost 7500 coins. Meaning that if you play 4 games you can be close to a pack. This isn't even counting the rewards you get for reaching certain milestones (collectibles that lead to auctionable/tradable players/coaches as well coin rewards). In 2k, you're basically forced to play solos that can get frustratingly difficult for a very minor prize.
To compare, the talk of the sub at one point was the 2 Bros Gaming challenge. People were pissed and trying to figure out a way to cheese it out. All for 8500 coins. The Madden equivalent to that is the final game of the gauntlet where you face a legends team with a prize of 60k coins at stake. The challenge was extremely difficult, but when I finally got it I was able to make some MAJOR upgrade to my squad. 8500 isn't even a decent upgrade in 2k. In fact, the best thing you could do with that is spend it on a pack and that is sad because packs are awful.
- A.I: Not The Answer, but the issue. Stupid cuts, terrible rebounding, bad positioning on both sides of the ball; it all effects the game in a big way. Players need to be smarter. If there is an opening, take it. I hate it when I'm on a fast break and my entire team ends up in the paint. Or when a player is open in the corner and decides to cut the very second I pass him the ball.
Did I miss anything? Feel free to chime in with what you would like to see fixed. NBA Live looks like it's seen some improvement this year. Hopefully they give 2k a run for their money this year.
This is a repost. I wanted to fix the title, it was annoying me.
