After a hiatus from NBA 2k's MyTeam mode (Mostly because of me becoming tired of the lag), i come back to see some ridiculous teams. One of the teams I came up against had 4 Michael Jordans (2 started and 2 came off the bench). If I recall correctly, the team was something like
Jordan Jordan Andre Igoudala Larry Bird Can't remember the 5, but I'm pretty sure he was a Forward
He had Lebron and Durant off the bench playing the 4 and 5 respectively.
This is the cheese I spoke about in my last post and is basically why I think this game mode needs a salary cap or at least an alternate mode with a cap.
Before anyone says anything, it's not because I had a hard time with the team. He rage quit after being down 24-46, so I had zero issues shutting him down. More than anything it annoyed me that someone would build their team like that. He was trying mightily to get to the hoop for the dunk cheese (he only managed one with Lebron), so I guess I had a good game of defense (Kyrie Irving defensive player of the decade).
In short, this mode needs to have a casual mode and a competitive mode (ranked). I think that should make both sides of the salary cap argument happy. The no salary cap side can build freely and stack their team until their hearts content and the pro salary cap side can mold the perfect squad under a cap to compete with others.
What do you guys think? What's the craziest team that you've come up against and what do you think about casual vs competitive modes?
BTW my active team is:
Kyrie Irving/Penny Hardaway/Derrick Rose Jordan/Doug Christie Sergey Karasev/Kevin Durant/Andre Iguodala Bill Bridges/Blake Griffin Anderson Varejao/Tiago Splitter
Players I have in reserve are Jerry West, Tim Hardaway, Kendall Gill, Mark Aguirre, BJ Armstrong, CJ Miles, Carrick Felix
I tend to sell players that I'd never use and I keep my Cavs pulls every time.
