In baller skill level and lower you tend to get a lot of point guards who just straight up dont pass or have terrible vision.
But often in pro and mvp ive been getting a lot of point guards who only pass when someone is wide open. But this does not work in high skill levels often because good teams dont just leave their man wide open.
So as a result, the point guard dribbles 20 seconds every shot clock trying to force an assist and end up getting no one open and we have to take a forced shot.
These point guards seem to forget that a lot of us can do 2-3 dribble moves to get ourselves open as well, Centers can post up, forwards can often hit post fades or spin jumpers. Not every single score has to be a catch and shoot and it drives me insane.
I am a SF who can basically score from anywhere and create my own shot. Yet so many times am i forced to play catch and shoot and stand in the corner just to never get the ball meanwhile i could easily create 20 points for myself if i had to.
Too many pgs think they are the only ones who can create shots and totally neglect the fact that their teammates are capable scorers too, we didnt all make it to red plate by standing in the corner all game.
