So me and my IRL friend have been playing 2k together since 2k15. Of course we’d play other games in our clan together but 2k has been a mainstay pretty much annually. We’ve always played myplayer at the same pace and skill and have gotten plenty of dubs over the years. Well over the years I’ve adapted legacy 2k playing with the newer styles and metas bc 2k is the game I spend the most time on (sad I know) and the last two or three 2Ks he’s focused on other games mainly while playing 2K on the side. So this year I have a 2way 3point shot hunter and he has a few different builds. Mostly big men. I play pro-am, with a couple other teams and at a high competitive level because I play more than he does. In short i’m a sweat. So again he’s my IRL and we talk on the phone and in party chat like all the time we’re both on. BUT I’ve kinda gotten pretty far past him in 2K skill. Which isn’t a problem but it’s like we lose every rec and park game bc he doesn’t want to play as a team. He’s easily frustrated and if the other random teammates does something he doesn’t like (miss a shot, miss him on a pass, accidental turnovers, etc) then he wants me to just only play between me and him. Also since I score a lot and easily , I take a fair amount of shots, even when I’m 10/10 or 5/5 with 6 assists for example, he wants to play like we’re the only two on the court and not play with our other teammates. This only frustrates me bc it drops my record and my city level. I lose my gold and purple plates when I play with him every time ðŸ˜. Sometimes I’ll be in a party with my other pro am teams and he’ll want to play and I’ve resorted to going offline so I don’t hurt his feelings. I’ll tell him when I’m playing with other people but it still sucks having to basically say I don’t want to play with you right now. I love him and of course we play together sometimes but sucks that this feels like a growing apart phase in a game that we’ve played almost 10 years. AITA?ðŸ˜
