Stopped at the beginning of 2k21, ignored 22&23, picked up 24 on PS5 because Mamba addition was $24.99.

First of all, not much has changed, the game is largely the same. There’s a lot of add on stuff to do that seems like just ways to make minimal VC but it’s fun enough.

But, holy crap the people in Solo Rec are some of the most brainless people I’ve ever played with across 6 different 2k games (16-21). All of you 1 and 2 guards out there that don’t pass AND can’t shoot, what are you doing? I didn’t think people would still be over dribbling 3 years later but Jesus Christ. What boggles my mind is that they will be dribbling so much that they have a move that gets them open but because they’re just spamming, they automatically go into another animation and they’re not open anymore. And THEN they shoot.

That would be bad enough in its own right but that’s just the tip of the iceberg. Once they blow the possession and miss their shot, they don’t get back on defense. Or if they do, for some reason they don’t follow their man to the corner that they’re running to EVERY… SINGLE… TIME. Instead they just aimlessly run into the middle of the lane. Why? To stand there while his matchup greens a wide open corner three.

If those things aren’t enough, just to really sink the game and your faith in humanity when you are on offense and trying to find some space behind the three point line because you CAN actually shoot, there’s no space because everyone makes builds to shoot (unsuccessfully) threes. So it’s a giant cluster fuck of 5 out with only 2 (maybe) of you actually able to hit anything from back there.

I really want to see some of my teammate’s attributes because at a 78 3pt shot I can shoot 65% in the rec.

My build is only a 90 so I’m in 92 and under rec which is still a thing apparently 3 years later.
