I’m fairly new to NASCAR, been a fan of F1 since childhood. Recently went to the Coke Zero Sugar 400. That got me really into it, I’ve watched it here and there for many years. But now as I deep dive into the world of NASCAR I’m having trouble understanding how these part-time teams work, what’s the benefit of a team only running a few amount of races throughout the season? Wouldn’t the cost outweigh the gains since most likely they won’t end up front, and even if they do are they eligible for the playoffs? Can someone explain please
