“Truly bad Pokémon don’t exist.”
Post Body

Dusknoir had absolutely no logical reason to rescue the hero and the partner when they were in Amp Plains. He had no knowledge of the partner’s Relic Fragment nor of the hero’s Dimensional Scream. He could have let the two of them completely alone at the mercy of the Luxray/Manetric clan.

But he didn’t. He went out of his way with an already unreputable reputation to save two apprentices at a local guild. Dusknoir had every reason to not risk himself being injured on his search for Grovyle, and having knowledge of the Luxray/Manetric clan would have made him as innocent in the situation as Chatot for knowing the same thing. He could have easily thrown any possible blame off of him for not saving the protagonists and thrown it on the clan or Team Skull (with proper investigation).

But he didn’t. Without any hesitation, he risked himself for two Pokémon he barely knew trying to help a couple of young boys. He’s still done very bad things for the sake of Master Dialga, but there is a Pokémon that genuinely cares for others in there as seen again in Special Episode 5.

The words of Guildmaster Wigglytuff ring true for Dusknoir: “Truly bad Pokémon don’t exist.”
