so the title is slightly misleading the phrasing of the question was closer to 'what mcr song speaks to you personally the most' and was no where near 'which mcr song do you think is the best' which definitely lead to both a skewing of the sings towards more personal songs vs the more polished/popular ones and also encouraged people to name more obscure options so they could have a song that was 'their song'

so yea for sure its not going to be exactly a representation of the most populat mcr songs but i think the results are interesting regardless :D

oh yeah for sure i didnt set out to make a dataset out if it so this is based off the tags of more or less a meme post on tumblr. so a few things:

-tumblr has a pretty niche userbase -because of the way sharing posts works on tumblr it mostly moved within similar circles. people are more likely to follow people with similar taste to themselves. i actually saw this while i was compiling the results in that there would be spikes and then lulls in particular albums -i put my own answer in the body of the post. i suspect this may have pushed it a little higher than it would have been naturally because it put it in people's minds -there was commentary in my original tags. i cant say how many people saw it or whether it affected their answers but it could have done

if people like this post enough i might make a post on reddit as well. i'd be interested to see how results differ
