TL: DR Bruce (NOT BATMAN) first, bromance between Clark and Bruce. Then introduce Batman in another episode where the trio go to gotham where Clark peaks and Bruce gets petty. 2 episodes spread out.

first off this could either be a two parter or a multi episode. anyway i want Year Two (26) Bruce (not Batman). I enjoyed the fanfic comic of Bruce meeting Clark (https://youtu.be/tJPttX-dH38?si=oknGq9mLPfM2CUYt) but have my own ideas. S2 E1 Jimmy could mention a strange conspiracy about a dark vigilante in Gotham. In episode three, have Bruce come to Metropolis and the gang are tasked with interviewing him. Lois would try to get him to admit to corruption and mob involvement in Wayne Enterprises, Clark would try (and fail) to stick to the cards and Jimmy would see if he has any information on his conspiracy about some weirdo running around Gotham and beating people for his podcast (this would be a one off joke as the batman reveal would be in a later episode).

After the interviews Bruce could take the three reporters to dinner as his treat, which would eventually lead to the four going on a pub crawl on Bruce's dime. Funny shenanigans would ensue as the four of them get drunk and party the night away. (Before anybody says it, I know alcohol does not usually affect Clark. The reason I still think this Superman can get drunk is based off one of the episodes where Clark drank a bunch of coffee and was obviously affected by it so I see no reason alcohol wouldn't also work for him). The drunker they get the more Bruce and Clark start to vibe. Then a funny hangover scene with Bruce making breakfast for everyone and the episode would end with Bruce getting on a plane, telling Clark "Gotta rush, there's this charity function in Gotham I need to get too, apparently there is going to be an acrobatic show as entertainment. We should definitely catch-up next time I’m in town." Opening him up to be a recurring guest character.

I personally like the idea of a pre-batman-superman friendship between Clark and Bruce. What they could do is over three or four episodes spread out over the season, and build up Bruce and Clarks friendship.

now here is my idea for the episode introducing Batman. i may have gone a bit overboard however tried to The gang could be tasked with doing a report about a Charity Gala in Gotham where Bruce Wayne has big news. They would arrive a few days beforehand, Clark invites Bruce out for a few drinks, and he declines and reschedules for the next day as he would still want to hang out as well as tell the trio the news before anyone else. The bar they go to is called the iceberg lounge; they would party for a bit, but Clark decides to get an early night. Lois and Jimmy stay back to keep drinking until they overhear a conversation about a weapons shipment then choose to investigate....... they get kidnapped immediately (obviously). The next morning Clark would panic because Lois and Jimmy would be missing. Clark would call Bruce to cancel, after that he would search Gotham inside and out to no avail. Clark returns to his hotel room to find a strange note “We need to talk, meet me atop the building at 10pm. Don’t forget the spandex”. Clark’s blood would run cold. Cut to the top of the roof long story short Batman is there. Batman tells superman that he has figured out where the “Penguin kidnapped Lois and Jimmy” they rescue them and Batman steals someone’s bones. Superman wouldn’t agree with the brutality of batman and peaks under the mask like he always does. “Bruce Wayne?!” says Clark. “You peaked.” Says Batman. Cut to the charity gala, Bruce would be accompanied by a child who he introduces as his ward. “Ah Jimmy, Lois I’ve been looking for you everywhere. I would like you to meet my ward, Dick Grayson.” Tensions are high between Clark and Bruce all night but all in all the event goes off without anything going wrong. Clark would return to Metropolis and a few days later would receive a letter with two pieces of paper, the first was a note like the one he received from Batman. “You shouldn’t have peaked, let’s keep each other’s secrets for both of our sakes. Your friend, the Bat” the other piece of paper would be a bank statement to The Daily Planet, his apartment building and all the land surrounding the Kent farm, on the back of the note “you play nice I play nice.”

Clark’s phone would start to ring, his parents tell him excitedly that Wayne Enterprises is paying us $300,000 a year to grow crops on land that they bought around our farm.” Clark would walk into work to find out that everyone is getting a hefty raise. On his desk is another note simply saying I’ll be in touch.

This may not be the most popular idea, but I think it would work since the show already focuses on the trio doing their jobs as reporters, Bruce being a multi-billionaire would naturally be interviewed by the press.
