Disposable dishes?

Has anyone else noticed that so many people on this show use paper plates, plastic ware, etc? I sort of understand it for those who live alone because washing dishes is probably too big a task for them but I even see it on in the episodes where they live with their parents or family or whoever else. I guess I just don’t understand why those who are (I’m assuming) on a fixed income would be constantly buying those things. Just a thought!
