I have a 2001 v6 (about to become a parts car) and im about to purchase another which ill turn into my daily driver. The guy im buying from lost his keys. I know the keys have to be programmed to the instrument panel for the car to crank, done by a dealership.
My question is if i swap out the instrument panel from mine into the new one, will my old keys crank it or will i still have to take it to a dealership anyways? My old car still cranks and drives but the frame is bent and the car is practically falling apart.
