I received a dashcam as a gift for Christmas and it's a very nice one with good reviews and since it was a gift I don't really want to exchange or return it. The only thing I don't like and it has me apprehensive about installing it is that the rear facing camera is exterior mounted and has to be wired in to a hot wire from my Mustang. The front facing camera is easier as it just plugs into the cigarette lighter and you run the wire up to the camera mounted on the interior windsheild. I have the Kingslim D4 Dual Dashcam model. I've seen others that have the rear and front facing cameras both mounted to the same unit giving the rear view through the interior of the car, good if you are an Uber driver I suppose but I like that it would be much easier to install.
What dashcam did you get? Do you like it or not? Have you heard of the model I have? What do you think about hard wiring the rear facing camera in to the existing car wiring?
I'm trying to decide if I should:
