As a brief introduction, I am a Christian from Europe. I don't know much about Hadiths, Quran or how life is in the Middle East (especially in the Arabic peninsula).
Regarding the recent news [1], "Saudi accounts promote ancient Arabian goddesses" in conjunction with the weak-Hadith prediction [2].
Do you think people start worshiping the pre-Islamic gods again because:
- they crave attention and will go to great lengths to get it, and the existence of Hadith [2] gave them a useful idea.
- did the American empire’s ideology of destroying the very own fabric of society (religion, family, etc.) become increasingly influential in the Arabian Peninsula?
- any material gains?
Regarding the Hadith, I believe the underlying message is: there will be times when people forsake the sacred and provoke society merely to seek attention. It’s clear that idolizing false idols won’t bring them any real benefits, other than the satisfaction of seeing believers get angry. They act like some individuals did at the start of the Paris Olympics, aiming to offend as many people as possible to find relief from their own misery. This happened for centuries, yet, the limits nowadays have been pushed a little bit too far.
What's your opinion on the subject?
