Striving to record ''perfect'' vocals, failing and then assuming your song is rubbish
Post Body

Or is it just me?

I'm not a belter of a singer and sometimes I have record certain vocals over and over in order to get it ''right'' but sometimes I really struggle but then... I think, why am I trying so hard to get a ''perfect'' vocal and what is perfect?

Should every song be flawless and have perfect vocals or should it be a little 'off' in places, if that's how it was or if it helps to evoke a certain feeling or emotion...

It's so easy to spend so much time trying to be perfect.
