I'm working with KFAI radio in Minneapolis on my first radio show. The idea is to produce a one hour show as a sort of pilot and then continue on from there. Since I have only one show, I want to present a pretty focused sound, and so I pitched a show on 90's music in the alternate music scene after the era of grunge. That includes Britpop groups (Suede, Oasis, Blur) as well as american acts like Beck, Weezer, Flaming Lips.
But at this point my concept is too broad and vague. I was hoping for ways to tighten the premise a bit more. With commercials the most songs I can play is probably 16 in an hour, max, which isn't a lot of room present a sort of narrative. What do you think, music masters of reddit? In return, he's a pic of my weird lookin' cat!
TL;DR need suggestions for tracks to play on a 90's centric radio show.
