Broadly speaking - I'm looking for albums that start off with a descent into darkness > the darkness escalates > we reach a turning point > there is an ascension into the light at the end of the journey. Prefer albums that are based on metaphorical themes rather than a literal concept. Looking for double albums where each side has a name and that on each side there are clusters of songs that are put under under several sub headings relating to the overall concept. Bonus points if you can name albums that incude instrumentals too which glue together the songs and create the theme transitions (ie like the way Pink Floyd, NIN and Coheed and cambria do I guess).
