For those of you who didn’t live in the 90’s, Gish, Siamese Dream, and Mellon Collie were absolute masterpieces from front to end. The musicianship is better than anything put out in the 90’s.
In 2024 they don’t get the love they deserve, as a matter of fact all I ever see is vitriol. Everyone talks about Nirvana but never the Pumpkins.
Why is that? And don’t believe me, after I post this you will see a lot of people saying they suck, Billy’s voice sucks, they were overrated, Billy Corgan sucks at guitar, etc., and you will see hardly any praise, yet they were massively successful in the 90’s. None of the criticisms are rooted in reality.
It’s like their achievements have been whitewashed and thrown to the dustbin of history. It’s so weird.
