No worries I appreciate! These are golden teachers as well :) I haven’t thrown any out I basically just separated the possible contams from the ones just barely showing mycelium growth in two different tubs. I bought the mega kit from them and yeah, I’ve basically only used the digital thermometer and the tubs they give you lol. I’m kinda pissed that they have outdated information on the grow guide - they said the oven method is best when all my research after the fact says it’s just dumb. I’ve been literally trying to research into verm/coir substrate but a pressure cooker yeah I do need to get. I’ve just been trying to refine basic skills before I move onto spore printing and making substrate so possible contam was making me feel pretty sad about having to start back on ground zero. Some person on another sub even said I have cobweb mold and I’m like fuuuuck. But I am going to hope for the best and send as much love as I can to them and hopefully nothings wrong :’)

Could you possibly check the other pics I posted or I have more I can send of the other jars because I can’t tell if they look contaminated as well Edit: I just made a whole album here

Yes yes agar, pc, and lots of research ahead of me!! Yes it came with allat it’s staying between 75-85 degrees in my apartment right now so I’m probably not going to use anything except their lights when I fruit because they are in the closet haha. I wanna do bulk but probably later down the road when I have more space :( atm the mycelium is growing on all jars and nothin that could be contam seems to be so I think I’m ok

I’m not committed at all I’ve been trying to research good substrates to buy this is my first try :’)

I’m on the 4th day of incubation, noticed the big one yesterday and it’s grown a lot, none of the others had visible mycelium growth but colonized a lot overnight so I’m assuming they are

I posted an album on one of my replies if you would be kind enough to look and tell me if others look contaminated as well :( thanks

I’ve just separated any possible contam jars from the regular ones I haven’t thrown any out and from what I’ve heard I’m not going to yet :)

[not loaded or deleted]

Oh yeah I know I did I was just wondering if the dark could just be the injection site of the pores and could cause the darker spot :) they are all still growing and no sign of any possible contam growing so I’m stayin positive !

Do you think it could just be the location where I deposited spores from syringes ?

[not loaded or deleted]

Yeah there are darker pieces in the substrate so it’s hard to tell through the glass what it is. The spore syringe I used also had dark visible spores could it just be where I deposited some?

[not loaded or deleted]

I buy them premade at the moment but plan on making my own once I can get at least the other processes down first like contam prevention :( thanks tho. Now the hard part is going to be checking all jars and trying to determine if they have contam as well

[not loaded or deleted]

Yes that’s a layer of verm I got the jars from midwestgrowkits

[not loaded or deleted]

Alrighty. Posting more pics below of other jars as I can see dark spots in jars with little mycelium growth so maybe it’s just the darker parts of the substrate? Idk :( it’s big sadness over here

Does it look bad enough to just toss or should I take it out of the incubator and just leave it to see where it goes?

Also - if this is contam or I end up finding some - should the jars be removed immediately in case of cross contamination? I’m just worried about this jar sitting in the incubation chamber with the others :(
