Hello fellow fun-mushers!

I have a few questions:

So im about to embark on what i suppose is technically my 2nd attempt at my king and grey oysters, i am using sawdust spawn i have had for a couple of months now, i originally ordered it from a reputable source and have just about a quarter of each of these now left.

I have sterilised some masters mix in jars and have them currently settling in my SAB along with some agar ketchup cups i have prepared.

My question is, with the said sawdust spawn i have, there are decent bits of mycelium in both, and even some pins that formed in the grey oysters from where i have had them stored in the fridge, is it/how viable is it to use these bits of said mycelium/pins on agar to keep these going?

is senescence going to be a factor here??

i know that it is common practice to use fruit bodies to clone to agar/LC, but wondered if it is any less effective to use the mycelium.

i have also got popcorn (dry, in packaging still) that i will soon PC to make grain, i was even thinking of using the mycelium on this to make more spawn, but before i do i wanted to find out from those among you here on this knowledgable community wether i am doing the right thing or if i would be wasting my time??

Also, i had ordered some layflat poly tubing to begin using in place of unicorn bags which i havent used yet, and will soon be trying out, but wondered first how it would behave in the PC too.

THANKS ALL!

Mush love
