What do you think is the easiest grain to prep? Price isn't a huge issue. I'm not growing that much, so an extra $10-20 on grain isn't a huge deal. Grain availability. I'm in the USA, but can't get our shopping much, so something easy to grab at a grocery or hardware store would be good. I don't have a stove I can use for prep, and use an electric PC to sterilize. Is worked well so far.
I've done ub tek and I'm done with it. Tried corn and wbs. Corn I struggled to properly hydrate. 30 min in the pc wasn't enough - toomuch grain wouldn't colonize. 60 seemed too much. Corn also seems to go slow in a tub.
Wbs was great on the jars. Super fast colonization. I just don't like the mess from the tiny seeds, and having to wash, hydrate, dry, etc.
Another item - have a tub of Bees omni mutant going. When do you harvest a strain like this? I've only ever done traditional stalk and cap cubes.
