I have some CM liquid culture coming in the mail tomorrow. I’ve read that it thrives better in a honey/water LC rather than a typical (for me) LME LC. I plan to make a few honey LCs either tonight or tomorrow.
I also want to make a few agar plates (Malt Yeast Extract) of it too. But, I hear that it’s pretty easy for them to (enter?) senescence, where the mycelium will colonize, but never fruit.
Are there any ways to prevent/prolong that happening? Can I make a master plate? I want to make extracts of it over time, but Google isn’t much help with how I’m searching, thanks to The Last of Us related articles flooding my search.
Do I just need to clone some fruit when the time comes?
TL;DR How can I keep my Cordyceps culture alive for multiple grows? Pic for attention..😅
Any additional tips are much appreciated!! Thanks y’all 🫶
