I’m an educator at a fairly large science museum. I was hired into this role with 13 months of education experience, mostly in early childhood but also three months as a summer camp administrator with the same museum. I have no college degree or any other education after high school besides one semester of community college in a humanities field.
I’m good at my job, I have consistent good reviews from students, parents, and colleagues, but I’m struggling a bit with being in a position in which I very much do not belong. Anyone else here in the same boat?
Imposter syndrome seems to be rampant in this sector. YOU ARE QUALIFIED AND PERFECT FOR THE JOB. Don’t doubt yourself x
