Accidentally discarted changes what can I do? is really important!

I accidemtally closed a file and discarted a whole day worth of work. I cannot rewrite all of that and I need to finnish it right now.
I cannot loose that, it was too much to rewrite it and is extremly important.
I already went to the backup files and there nothing there because I already closed the file, I didn't save in a long while.
Please tell me I can recover it.
There is a file called session that is last eddited before I closed the file, can I do something with it?????
