My story, so far.
Post Body

I’m a 25 yo female, turning 26 on the 14th. On October 15th, I started feeling an aching pain from my left glute to my leg. I’ve always gotten glute pain especially on the left so I ignored it. Then a couple nights later, I felt what was my first ever Charlie horse. My calf cramped up and just stayed like that for a good minute or so. I thought it was weird but ignored it. A couple of days later I noticed my leg still hurt, including my calf. I had been traveling a lot, so I began to suspect a blood clot. I went to the ER and an ultrasound was done. I was diagnosed with a blood clot in my left calf because the vein could not be compressed. I was given Xarelto. This scared the almighty hell out of me, I spent the next couple of days constantly crying and panicking. I went back to the ER because I was in pain with my leg. They did another ultrasound and said I never had a blood clot in the first place. Wonderful. I stopped the Xarelto. That same night I was laying in bed, I noticed my legs were twitching like crazy. I wondered what was causing it, so I MASSIVELY screwed up and went to Google. Those three words showed up. Cue instant panic. The next day, I was twitching everywhere. My legs, feet, hands, shoulder, abdomen, face, TONGUE. I went to my regular doctor who did blood work and referred me to a neurologist who I believe specializes in Neuromuscular disorders. I was absolutely terrified. I stopped eating. Stopped going out. Cried at least every couple of hours. Slept no more than 30 minutes a night. I’ve lost almost 20 pounds in less than three weeks. I went to the ER again just to see if they would do a brain scan that would show something, other than ***. Everything clear. See your neuro says the ER doc. My neuro appointment is on the 7th. Then I’m sure I’ll have to wait for an EMG. I’m still twitching everywhere. It may have calmed down a little bit. My left arm is much weaker than my right. It shakes when I hold something as light as my phone in it. My legs feel constantly shaky and weak. I can still walk, etc but they just feel not as strong and weird, like slower. I know you guys can’t diagnose me but I needed to vent. I’m so scared and I’m absolutely convinced I have it. I look at photos of my kids and my partner and I just break down. It’s killing me. I’ve suffered from depression, anxiety, ptsd my whole life and this is the darkest place I’ve ever been in.
