Edit: decided to take the advice of many of you and see Neuschansweinstein another time. I do really want to see it but I also want to explore Munich. Thanks everyone.
I'm staying in Munich for 2 nights but I'll only have about one day to actually see the city as I'm doing a day trip to Neuschansweinstein one day. I really wish I had one more day. I wanted to figure out what I can fit it in about 2/3 of a day.
I will arrive in Munich sometime between 12 and 1 in the afternoon and will explore shortly after I get checked in. I was going to do a walking tour on my own through the main parts of the city, go to a beer garden, etc. I also want to determine if Residenz is worth going to, in which case I'd start there first and then do the walk through the city after.
Is Residenz worth going to if I have limited time? Is there anything else I should do a see in my very limited time? I'll add that I probably will return to visit Munich at some point again.
