Hey all!
So my best friend (29F) was diagnosed after her second severe attack with MS. I dont know enough details as it's truly the last thing she wants to talk about with me, but I know she has a lot of smaller brain lesions showing up on scans, she has lost feeling in the left side of her body completely and loses feeling on the right side intermittently, has extreme fatigue, temperature sensitivity, and is on medical leave so she is only working partial shifts and only a few a week.
For her birthday, one of the things she has asked for many times from me is her own version of the planner I use, but of course I want to make it specific to her. I already have areas to track major symptom changes, medical appointment history, and medication info (along with the rest of the planner - budget, birthday calendar, you get it).
I want to know: for her symptom level where the MS is progressing steadily at this time, what is the most beneficial information to track?
What systems do you guys use? What works and doesnt work? Would a mood tracker be something that comes in handy with doctor visits? Or a tracker for her eating habits, sleeping habits? What is reasonable to make space for the in planner?
Please note this is specific to 2021 - at the end of next year I will revisit with her to figure out what worked, what didnt, and what to change - but she is not the type of person who can identify what she needs to be successful, lol, that's where I come in! But I also dont have experience with MS, and I want to make sure that this system will be helpful and not stressful, so feel free to suggest as much as possible, and I will adjust accordingly and find a system that works easily and as stress-free as possible.
TL;DR need system for friend to track MS stuff. Please suggest as much as possible and I will adjust accordingly.
