hiiiiii. i wanna add a little back story to how i got diagnosed. So i woke up May 27th with facial paralysis and my face pulling extremely hard to the right. It looks as if im grinning with half my face. my primary care originally thought i had bellโs palsy. as the week went on, i woke up on friday May 30th to extreme numbness on my whole right side. Hubby and mother in law convinced me to go to the ER just to rule out stroke. (mom had a stroke in 2020, so i have to watch out for that kind of stuff now i guess) anyways, we were there from 3pm to 2am. All my tests came back good, Ekg, CT, x-rays, blood, urine, blood pressure etc. Then came the MRI. consistent with multiple sclerosis and demylenating disease.โ โa small cystic lesion within the left pituitary gland that measures up to 8mmโ I had my neurology appointment yesterday 6/20/24 with the neuro who seen me that night in the ER (he basically diagnosed me from watching me walk down the hallway) and we are starting on Transfusions every 6 months. ๐งก I am 26.
