Covering my face for safety cuz I'm trans (they/he pronouns). Fixed up my shaggy mullet today and documented the process for y'all so you can trim your own mullet and save some $$$. Supplies: phone/camera, mirror, plastic bag to cover the work surface from hair, clippers and the scissors that came with them. Start by tying back the long section of your hair into a bun. This will help you line up the back behind your ear and make a clean line. Cover work area with a plastic bag or something you can throw away after, it's gonna get covered in trimmings. Get your clippers and make sure you have good range of motion in front of the mirror with the length of the chord. Choose how short you wanna go, and then start from the bottom near your ear and slowly make your way to the top edge of the section. When you get to the border lift clippers up and away from your head in a smooth motion. This is how you create the upper border. I reply heavily on my phone to take pictures during the process and line up the borders how I want them. Stop and take a picture as many times as you need to feel confident. And that's pretty much it! I think DIY mullets are dope as fuck and I hope y'all try it yourself at least once. It's just hair, if you fuck up it will grow back 😉
